Why you should have yourselves a Family Adventure

From wild camping to wild food foraging adventures, kayaking or stand up paddleboarding, beach school and bushcraft days in the woods the only limits are your own adventure imagination.

Picture this for a weekend…the cars loaded with kids and kit, you've navigated your way across the mouth of Poole harbour with the 'are we nearly there yet brigade' to be hit by our sandy shoreline in Studland that stretches for miles and miles…a quiet, tranquil, peaceful, escape.

That's our patch of wild on Dorsets coastline and your new playground. We take to the high seas by kayak, stopping to forage for wild food, pulling in pots to check for a lucky lobster and trolling for a fish supper as we go. Exploring caves, wild swimming, sea level traversing and snorkelling through the arches of Old Harry Rocks before seeking out one of our wild camping spots to show you how to light your own fire and cook your bounty.

Here we nestle down for the night by flickering flames, sharing stories around the camp fire before waking to the dawn chorus with a lungful of fresh sea air.  Gathering our belongings, we explore the islands and creeks of Enid Blytons secret seven escapades. More wild food, more feasting, more adventuring.

This is Fore / Adventure and this is what your family adventure could look like, full weekends, half days or full days featuring one or a handful of our activities, on the coast or in the woods we tailor our adventures to suit our customers needs and can create experiences for families and groups designed around your adventure dreams. So what are you waiting for, those small humans won't be small for long, let's be giving them a wildtime to remember and some magic memories for you all.

Get in touch with us to plan your own wild weekend or pop over to the events page to see what we have in the diary already...

*Our age ranges are a guide, if children are particularly water confident and parents are happy for them to participate with them we can make exceptions for slightly younger children or run bespoke family adventures priced according to group size and the scope of your adventure imagination - contact us to plan a bespoke adventure.

Childrens Outdoor adventure Days in Studland

Days your small humans share with us are spent exploring our local playground of cliffs, shore, sea, beach, woods and heathland. While content may vary day to day according to the tides and conditions we have a raft of activities and stimulating experiences that using all the senses aim to show how great the outdoors really is. That way our relationship with it becomes positively positive, and because it is good for us, we become more smiley people.

Beach based art, scavenger hunts, tool use, woodcraft, shelter building, foraging, fishing, rockpooling, bushcraft, kayaking, wild cooking and snorkelling are just a handful of the outdoor antics we get up to. You might even find yourself wanting to go back to school for this.

We are now taking bookings for our summer scheme 2018, running from 09.30-16.00 throughout the summer holidays in August priced at £40pp per day (ages 7-14 years)
