Can’t decide between 2 or 3 hours on the water?
If you’re wondering what the difference is between the 2 and 3 hour tours and not sure which one to choose let us help!
The 2 hour Old Harry Rocks Kayak trip is ideal for families with younger children age 8+ or those who don’t want to spend too long on the water. This trip is a journey from our base on Middle beach along the cliff face to see the majestic Old Harry Rocks by sea and back.
The Half Day Old Harry Rocks Kayak trip is another hour longer and suitable for families with older children age 12+ and those who want to see more of the coastline. The extra time allows you to journey through the rocks and further along the jurassic coast taking in the unique rock formations of these cliffs before heading back to our base.
Founder Dan Scott holds the highest sea kayak leadership award, the Advanced Sea Kayak Leader and our instructors all hold their BC Paddle Sport Instructor and sea kayak award qualifications plus have extensive in house training.
Safety is our number one priority and we can guarantee that all our instructors are trained to industry standard best practice and hold National Governing body qualifications where applicable, to operate in line with our BCU paddlesport accredited provider status and AALA licence. As a WISE wildlife safe accredited operator you be can rest assured that we work responsibly, without disturbing the wildlife and sealife.
In the event of an incident all of our guides carry personal locator beacons so that help will come straight away. Once activated, the signal is detected by a satellite and sent to a Mission Control Centre (MCC) where it is decoded and forwarded to the nearest Rescue Coordination Centre. Luckily we have never had to use them but we carry them so you are in the safest hands.
Kayaking Tours Reviews
Lovely location for the course. All information was provided that was needed. And James was a brilliant coach. I would recommend you to anyone.
I live in Weymouth and do a lot of water sports. The Fore Adventure kayak trip to Old Harry was exceptional. John really knows his stuff - he looked after all the members of the expedition, showed us the sea life round Old Harry, was thoughtful, intelligent and really good fun. And the safety features were meticulous - checking the weather before we left, notifying the coastguard before and after the trip, carrying a VHF transmitter and mobile phone, safety drill, equipment.
Fantastic experience kayaking out to Old Harry Rocks, would really recommend this activity. Instructors made sure we felt really confident despite not having done much kayaking before myself. Amazing sites and to pull up on the beach underneath the rocks is something not many people will get to do. Exciting trip back going round the headlands against the waves but nothing most people wouldn't be able to cope with and the leaders were really good at making sure everyone was ok. Would love to do this again sometime.
