Snorkelling in Dorset
The life under our water is possibly even more exciting than what we see from the surface. A snorkelling adventure with us will begin from our hutquarters at Studland's Middle Beach in Dorset from where we will head out, geared up to the nautical nines in wetsuits and snorkels, to investigate the local marine life. At Red End Point, a coastal headland steeped in geographical and historical interest, we'll tour the underwater world. Our eyes will be peeled for seaweeds, anemone's, limpets, crabs, wrasse, pipe fish and more. This is underwater foraging at it's very best.
Studland has been named as one of the top ten spots for snorkelling in the UK, and is one of the only places you can see seahorses in the wild! As a WISE wildlife safe accredited operator you can rest assured that we work responsibly, without disturbing the wildlife and sealife.
It is an adventure suitable for all ages from 8yrs upwards and a brilliant way to build up your confidence in the water. Our snorkelling adventures include a Snorkel Marine Life Safari and Kayak Snorkel Safari as well as certified BSAC courses. They are priced between £50-£60pp for a half day activity and can be booked from our booking page.
Safety is our number one priority and we can guarantee that all our instructors are trained to industry standard best practice and hold National Governing body qualifications where applicable, to operate in line with our AALA licence for coasteering and kayaking.
Kayak snorkelling adventure
Using our kayaks we can also snorkel around the famous sea stacks, caves and arches of Old Harry Rocks after a kayak along the cliff line of Studland Bay and alongside one of our BCU qualified guides. From here there is the opportunity to spot rare birds from the surface too and forage for sea vegetables.
You could see Bream, Bass, Mackerel, Rays, Dogfish in the Summer and Whiting and Plaice in the Winter.
Snorkelling is a unique way to seek out edible seaweeds and forage underwater.
