General Information
Join us to explore the beautiful Dorset coast by kayak on this unique wild camping weekend with kayaking and wild food adventure. Our kayaking location in Dorset is set within Studland, a tranquil nature reserve & Marine conservation zone with the famous Old Harry Rocks on one side of the peninsula and Poole harbour on the other.
Old Harry Rocks nested between Swanage and Studland, offers an exciting and varied sea kayaking playground, here we explore the caves and archways formed by nature and put your kayaking skills to the test in this dynamic ever changing coastal environment.
Your Adventure Guide Dan Scott
Your leader and co-founder of Fore Dan Scott is an experienced paddlesports instructor with over 20 years of kayak coaching experience, he has worked extensively along the Dorset coast since setting up the business 8 years ago. Living and working in the Dorset area has allowed Dan to develop an intimate knowledge of the Jurassic Coastline and he is a qualified bushcraft instructor and ethnobotanist with a thorough knowledge of the local flora and fauna and his specialism is in coastal foraging and seaweed.
Dan has been featured extensively in the media for his in depth knowledge of the outdoors. He has traversed the cliffs coasteering with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay for National Geographic, taken Romesh and Rob on a foraging and kayaking adventure for Sky, foraged the dorset coast with the ultimate masterchef John Torode and fished for a feast for Jamie Olivers Friday night feast for channel 4. Together with his wife Jade they have shared their love of seaweed with Ellie Harrison and Anita Rani for BBC countryfile and their wild food knowledge with Alan Titchmarsh for Love Your weekend. As you can see, you really are in the best hands to experience this special overnight coastal adventure.
Immerse Yourself In Nature With A Wild Camping Adventure
Join this wild camping weekend sea kayaking expedition in Dorset to immerse yourself in nature, embrace the wilderness, brush up on your kayaking skills. Forage and fish from the kayaks and explore the world famous Old Harry Rocks. Learn your edible plants as we forage along the coast and test your bushcraft skills at our wild camp and cook up a storm in the great outdoors.
You don’t need to be an expert kayaker or have any prior experience of kayaking. However you can join one of our 2 hour kayak trips prior if you feel that you want to. This adventure runs in double kayaks, if you book alone you will be sharing a kayak. If you don’t want to share then you will have to book 2 spaces and we can allocate you a single kayak as we work to boat ratios. Please notify us in advance if you wish to do this. Spaces on these adventures are very limited so grab them before they’re gone!
