With feasting on the forefront of our mind now our September feast is only days away, we thought we would share a little clever cocktail we enjoyed at our Spring feast. Foraging for Gorse is always a prickly affair but oh so worth it when you get rewarded with something as scrumptious as this for your efforts.

Some might say there’s no better way to end a day in the great outdoors than round the camp fire and we agree, but we can now top that after we were lucky enough to end a days adventuring and start an evenings feasting with one of the UK’s top mixologists James Fowler. He showed us that there’s one thing that adds some sparkle and that’s with a coastal cobbler (aka the best wild cocktail in town!) to see off sundown…here’s the man himself answering a few questions we just had to ask him….
Not only do we get to live and work in such a unique and inspiring setting in our corner of Dorset but we get to share it with some pretty awesome people too…here’s one of our neighbours the very lovely Helen Mccabe who recently set up her yoga studio in the village of Studland just a stones throw from hutquarters.

For those of you who don’t yet know of our little spot on the Dorset coast, we thought it was about time we brought you up to speed…you see it’s not just us who reckon we have something special here, we were stoked to be joined by the awesome Pig Hotel group last summer who opened their first seaside hangout, aptly named ‘The Pig on the Beach’ right next door to us in Studland.
We’ve got pretty lucky with our neighbours so far in Studland and amongst them is founder of Kodomo Travel, Cass Chapman, just a hop, skip and a jump away at Shell bay, a beauty of a spot where we can often be found playing in the dunes with our small humans, gorging on picnics and recreating tales of Enid Blytons famous 5.
