Our Forage and Feast events follow the seasons, and our Spring offering kicked off the year perfectly last weekend.
It comes around every year, we have to say goodbye to summer! Trading hot sunny days for cool, dark evenings can be tough, but we made the transition much easier for our Autumn Forage and Feast guests. A beautiful crisp day greeted us at Studland in Dorset last weekend and we shared everything we love about the season; bright clear skies, changing colour ways along the coast, hips and haws, local produce and of course foraging with a gaggle of happy humans.
Winter foraging can be a real treat, at this time of year we can scour fields, shoreline and woodland to forage for greens, seeds, fungi and fruit and there’s a suprising haul of wild edibles out there. Join us to look back at our Forage and Feast in Dorset which took place in December, a time of year that many of us are conditioned to stay indoors to stay warm and snug against the elements. We quite literally threw caution to the wind and got out there with some hardy folk to learn the art of foraging and wild food.
Back at the start of the summer at the end of June we hosted our Seasonal Summer Forage & Feast at our stunning seaside spot in Studland. After a shoreline foraging masterclass with our cofounder and ethnobotanist Dan Scott, our feasters were treated to a delicious wild welcome cocktail made with foraged pineapple weed syrup to kick start the evenings celebrations. As the sun set colouring in the sky with a smudge of pink and purple our guests sat down at our shared table with the backdrop of nature and the soundtrack of the sea.
We began our Forage & Feast events some 4 years ago now and they have become such a lovely way for us to mark the seasons and celebrate the changes that take place in Studland and along the coastline here in Dorset. A few weeks back we said hello to Spring on our first Forage & Feast supper club of the year and it was a truely special evening with wonderful company and fabulous food with our guest chef charlotte Pike on hand to help. Here’s some snippets and more on the inspiration behind these events.

Spring time in Studland takes some beating, the hedgerows are bursting with wild edibles, the shore is brimming with sea vegetables and the sea is swimming with life. Just a few weeks back as Spring was in full swing we celebrated with a bunch of good folk to enjoy some foraging, here’s a sneaky peak into our world….
