Kayak safari Foraging and bird watching with the National Trust

Join us on one of these special kayak adventures in asssociation with the National Trust this summer, on June 9th and July 7th with many more kayak foraging adventures featuring throughout the season. We’ll investigate the life in our bay through identifying and collecting edible plants, seaweeds and foraging for shellfish and crabs as we go. You’ll be brimming with knowledge on what to look out for along our shores as well as the all important preparation techniques.

On this adventure you will head out from our base on middle beach which is a beautiful sheltered bay out to explore along the cost line towards old Harry rocks where you will navigate the stacks and the sea caves. Accompanying us will be the National Trust wildlife expert who will help to point out marine life and birdlife above the surface

If you take a look at our kayak foraging page there are some lovely images to give you an idea of how close you get up to the rockface and all the nooks and crannies you get to explore.

This tour takes up a half day (around 3 hours) and is priced at £50pp, inclusive of all the equipment you need, using sit on top kayaks which are really safe, stable and super easy to use - plus great fun. If this dates doesn't suit have a scroll through to find some others that might or drop us a line to see if we can schedule something on another date if you can't find what you're looking for
