Join us for a seaweed foraging and pressing course, learn your seaweeds with our founder and seaweed expert Dan Scott who is a qualified Ethnobotanist. Let us guide you through the coastal plants and seaweeds along our shoreline, learn their properties and which specimens are edible, Dan will teach you how to safely identify, sustainably harvest and prepare seaweeds for pressing.
After foraging for your own seaweeds our team will teach you how to prepare them for pressing and how to build a press to create your own beautiful artwork. You will take away with you your own press that will contain your seaweed specimens that you have prepped and pressed, these will then need to be left in the press to dry for a week before you can frame them at home. You will go away with your own hand made press which can be used time and time again and a frame for when your art work is ready.
End the day with a delicious 2 course foraged lunch or supper prepared by Fore / Kitchen included in the price of this workshop. Fore / Kitchen is a division of Fore / Adventure, we work in unison to offer workshops and adventures complimented with wild food and seasonal feasting. After this workshop you will be able to indulge in a truly delicious lunch or supper beautifully prepared with some of the wild plants you have been shown on your foraging course.
