Summer Forage and Feast Event with Fore / Adventure | Dorset Supper Club

We couldn’t have asked for a better summer in Dorset and we are still basking in the glow of so many many happy memories that were made. We spent our days on the water fishing and foraging off the kayaks and sups and our nights on the beach cooking up our foraged finds alfresco. The sun kept shining and we kept smiling and even though the slight chill of Autumn is now beginning to fill the air we are still eeking out the good times for as long as we possibly can.

We have shared lots of snippets of our summer on Instagram but if you’ve missed it here’s a sneaky peak behind the scenes at our Summer Forage & Feast this year. If you were there then thanks for bringing your enthusiasm, we wouldn’t be here without your support and also the talent of our incredible team, who pulled out all the stops to make sure everyone left our feast with nuggets of wisdom and some very magic memories.

Back at the start of the summer we hosted our Seasonal Summer Forage & Feast at our stunning seaside spot in Studland. After a shoreline foraging masterclass with our cofounder and ethnobotanist Dan Scott, our feasters were treated to a delicious wild welcome cocktail made with foraged pineapple weed syrup to kick start the evenings celebrations. As the sun set colouring in the sky with a smudge of pink and purple our guests sat down at our shared table with the backdrop of nature and the soundtrack of the sea.

Fore / kitchen were on hand to create a stunning feast of soused mackerel and pickled sea vegetables with a fennel and apple slaw to start, followed by swanage bay lobster with sea purslane aioli, watercress, seaweed flaked potatoes and charred lemons, all topped off with a gooey gooseberry fool. Happy times and happy tummies.
