Rock Climbing For Beginners – Half Day Reviews
“Fantastic day with Ed and Seb taking our group Rock climbing. Super friendly staff, who made sure we had fun, but also took safety very seriously. Also an excellent, delicious lunch was laid on to keep us going through the activities. One of the best days out i’ve had in recent memory”
“We had an awesome day with Dan, Ed and Seb, doing rock climbing out along the Jurassic coast. The guys really made us feel welcomed and we had a great laugh. Ed and Seb were brilliant in their rock climbing expertise and really helped us all out and made it great fun. Was very impressed by all of it, would be happy to do more with them and recommend highly to anyone else. Do it, you’ll love it!”
“I’ve been rock climbing before on indoor wall but this course was something else. I never realised just how exhilarating real rock climbing was. Our guides were very safety conscious but allowed us to enjoy the stunning setting and gently encouraged us to learn new skills on the rocks. I’ll be back again to join another climbing group next summer”
“Loved every minute of climbing with Dan, Elliot and Seb. The location was incredibly beautiful, right next to the sea and my son (who is “afraid of heights”) made it to the top once and wouldnt stop shooting up and down all morning!. Thank you, highly recommended”

Is Rock Climbing Safe?
We are highly qualified and experienced and have been running our adventures in Dorset for over ten years.
Our location in Dorset means we have access to some of the most stunning coastlines in the UK and we are proud to share this with you. At our rock climbing for beginners course, we work sensitively in small groups and leave no trace where we visit. Sharing our coastline comes with responsibilities and we take these seriously. We litter pick en route and work sensitively around the seabirds and seals and make sure we stick to the restrictions around breeding seasons.
We regularly risk assess our venues to keep you safe.
Our climbing instructors are also knowledgeable foragers. You will hit the ground running as soon as you leave the car park as our instructors happily share their passion for wild food en route to the climbing location with you.
If you are looking for a way to spend time outside in nature and learn a new skill then book one of our intro to climbing sessions in Swanage. Contact our team at hello@foreadventure with your preferred date and time and we will get you booked and on your way to learning to rock climb in no time.
Why You Can Safely Enjoy Our Adventures
Safety is our number one priority and we can guarantee that all our instructors are trained to industry standard best practices and hold National Governing body qualifications where applicable, to operate in line with our AALA license. As a WISE wildlife safe accredited operator you can rest assured that we work responsibly, without disturbing the wildlife and sealife.
In the event of an incident, all of our guides carry personal locator beacons so that help will come straight away. Once activated, the signal is detected by a satellite and sent to a Mission Control Centre (MCC) where it is decoded and forwarded to the nearest Rescue Coordination Centre. Luckily we have never had to use them but we carry them so you are in the safest hands.
