Half Day Coasteering Reviews

“For my son’s Birthday, we had a coasteering session and I can’t fault it. On the walk down from the car park to Dancing Ledge the scenery was amazing. All equipment was provided and full instructions were made very clear. It was a challenging and exhilarating experience and no pressure was made to complete the higher jumps, although the older teens and hubby were eager to do it! If you are after a challenge then I can highly recommend coasteering with Dan and the team – the perfect activity for families with teens!”

Kara

“I still can’t believe I jumped from the rocks into the sea. I’ve been challenging myself recently and coasteering was perfect, swimming in the sea, scrambling over the rocks, our entire group had so much fun.”

Beth M

“We were looking for a family activity we would all enjoy on our summer holiday. Your coasteering was just the job, both of my sons  had the time of my life and my wife even wants to do it again”

Daniel T

“Exploring the caves with red walls and blue water was amazing, floating on my back looking at the ammonites was such a tranquil contrast to the exhilaration of jumping from the cliffs. I still can’t believe we saw the dolphins swim past so closely”

What Is Coasteering?

Coasteering may seem an adrenaline-fuelled way to travel by rock-hopping, scrambling, swell-riding, swimming, and cliff-jumping your way around the coastline. But it’s just as much about getting up close to our beautiful cliffs and wildlife in a way that can’t be enjoyed walking along the coast path above sea level.

It doesn’t have to include big jumps and can be a gentle water womble if that’s more your thing! That’s why we work with small private groups so that you can set the pace and we can design a trail perfect for you.

Is Coasteering Safe?

We are highly qualified and experienced and have been running coasteering in Dorset for over ten years. We are an accredited National Trust coasteering provider and members of the National Coasteering Charter to ensure we continue to work to best practice.

Our beautiful location in Dorset means we have access to some of the best coastline in the world and we are proud to share this with you. We coasteer sensitively in small groups and leave no trace where we visit. The protection of this coastline is important to us and sharing it comes with responsibilities, we make sure to litter pick if we see any rubbish and we know when to avoid coastlines when seabirds and seals breed.

Our guides check and risk assess the venues regularly and have explored the coast at all tides to keep you safe and to ensure you have the most exciting wave surges and explore the most interesting cliffs at sea level and above.

Our coasteering guides are also knowledgeable foragers. Be ready to hit the ground running as soon as you leave the car park as they’ll be sharing their passion and knowledge of wild food en route to the coasteering location, and as you coasteer they will show you edible seaweeds and sea vegetables.

If you are looking for a fun day out with your friends and family and want to book a coasteering adventure on the Dorset coast in Swanage then contact us to see what options are available, email hello@foreadventure with your request.

Why can you safely enjoy our adventures?

Safety is our number one priority and we can guarantee that all our instructors are trained to industry standard best practices and hold National Governing body qualifications where applicable, to operate in line with our AALA licence. As a WISE wildlife safe accredited operator you can rest assured that we work responsibly, without disturbing the wildlife and sealife.

In the event of an incident, all of our guides carry personal locator beacons so that help will come straight away. Once activated, the signal is detected by a satellite and sent to a Mission Control Centre (MCC) where it is decoded and forwarded to the nearest Rescue Coordination Centre. Luckily we have never had to use them but we carry them so you are in the safest hands.
