Sit On Top Kayaking Tours To Old Harry Rocks
Join one of our signature Old Harry Rocks kayaking tours, explore the coves and cliffs, and let our experienced guides let you in on all the local legends as you paddle through our playground! The iconic chalk cliffs are best viewed from sea level (in our humble opinion!) so hop aboard our stable sit-on-top kayaks, perfect for beginners, and let us show you the sights.
As featured on Jamie Olivers ‘Friday Night Feast’ on CH4, ITV with Julia Bradbury and Rob and Romesh VS on SKY you can be sure you will get an unforgettable experience with us. We have been running these trips for over 12 years and thousands have already taken this adventure of a lifetime with us from our stunning shoreline in Studland to the majestic stacks and sea caves at the world-famous Old Harry Rocks.
Relax in the hands of our guides who will keep you safe and show you the ropes to get you mastering the art of kayaking in no time.
Past Guests Of Ours Have Experienced:
-local wildlife; peregrine falcons, cormorants, oystercatchers
-marine life; seals, dolphins
-the unique habitat of our native seahorses amongst the eel grass
-the kelp beds that are a haven for crab, lobster, and fish
Can’t Decide Between 2 Or 3 Hours On The Water?
If you’re wondering what the difference is between the 2 and 3-hour tours and not sure which one to choose let us help!
The 2-hour Old Harry Rocks Kayak trip is ideal for families with younger children aged 8+ or those who don’t want to spend too long on the water. This trip is a journey from our base on Middle beach along the cliff face to see the majestic Old Harry Rocks by sea and back.
The Half Day Old Harry Rocks Kayak trip is another hour longer and suitable for families with older children age 12+ and those who want to see more of the coastline. The extra time allows you to journey through the rocks and further along the Jurassic coast taking in the unique rock formations of these cliffs before heading back to our base.
Founder Dan Scott holds the highest sea kayak leadership award, the Advanced Sea Kayak Leader and our instructors all hold their BC Paddle Sport Instructor and sea kayak award qualifications plus have extensive in house training.
Safety is our number one priority and we can guarantee that all our instructors are trained to industry standard best practice and hold National Governing body qualifications where applicable, to operate in line with our BCU paddlesport accredited provider status and AALA licence. As a WISE wildlife safe accredited operator you be can rest assured that we work responsibly, without disturbing the wildlife and sealife.
Sea Kayaking Tours Safety
In the event of an incident, all of our guides carry personal locator beacons so that help will come straight away. Once activated, the signal is detected by a satellite and sent to a Mission Control Centre (MCC) where it is decoded and forwarded to the nearest Rescue Coordination Centre. Luckily we have never had to use them but we carry them so you are in the safest hands.
