Learn stand up paddleboarding with us on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, stand up paddleboarding is not only fun but a brilliant core work out! Our experienced instructors can give you the stand up paddleboarding tuition you need to help you quickly master the skills within a two hour taster session so that you are confident and able enough to start using your new mode of transport right away!!

After you have learned the basics, why not join us on a half day intermediate SUP course in Studland to explore Old Harry Rocks iconic stacks by SUP.

Stand Up Paddleboarding In A Stunning UK Location

Our beautiful location in Studland, a stunning secluded sandy peninsula in Dorset is just a short drive away from Bournemouth, Poole and Swanage. From here we tour on the stand up paddleboards from our base on Middle Beach to explore the sunny bay with Old Harry Rocks as our backdrop. The perfect location for stand up paddleboarding.

Safety is our number one priority when it comes to stand up paddleboarding. We can guarantee that all our instructors are trained to industry standard best practice and hold National Governing body qualifications where applicable, to operate in line with our AALA licence for coasteering and kayaking. As a WISE wildlife safe accredited operator you be can rest assured that we work responsibly, without disturbing the wildlife and sealife and we forage sustainably and sensitively.

Stand Up Paddleboarding Safely

In the event of an incident during our stand up paddleboarding sessions, all of our guides carry personal locator beacons so that help will come straight away. Once activated, the signal is detected by a satellite and sent to a Mission Control Centre (MCC) where it is decoded and forwarded to the nearest Rescue Coordination Centre. Luckily we have never had to use them but we carry them so you are in the safest hands.

I've Been On A SUP Before But Am Not Super Confident - Which Session Sould I Book?

If you’re not sure, book the Introduction Session which sticks to the calm, shallow waters of Studland Bay. More experienced paddleboarders can book the intermediate half day paddleboard tour of Old Harry Rocks.

Is Paddleboarding Hard For Beginners?

Paddleboarding requires a certain level of fitness and balance, and difficulty is subjective, but people of all ages, shapes, and sizes join us and enjoy learning to paddleboard.

Do You Need To Be Fit To Paddleboard?

Balance is more important than fitness – you can always kneel or sit on the board if you’re tired and need a rest!

I Haven't Attended Your Intro Session - Can I Join The Intermediate Session?

If you’ve done the equivalent of our intro elsewhere, or have enough experience to paddleboard for a couple of hours with small waves, you are welcome to book the intermediate activity.

I Have Children Younger Than 16 - Can We All Paddleboard Together?

Our introduction to SUP is suitable for ages 12 and up. If your children are younger than this, we can offer bespoke SUP sessions, or you can book our 2 hour kayak tour for ages 8+. All under 18s need to be accompanied by an adult on the water.

What Type Of Paddleboards Do You Use?

We use rigid paddleboards, made by Nah Skwell and Jobe, and they’re between 10’ and 10’8”.

Can We Just Rent Your Paddleboards?

We hire out our paddleboards in the summer holidays, for use at the beach. If you’d like to go further, book a session with one of our instructors. We cannot guarantee we will have SUPs available to hire, it’s best to ring us in the morning to confirm.

What Time Of Day Are The Paddleboarding Sessions Run?

Our 2 hour Introduction to SUP runs at 9am, 11:30am and 4:30pm. Our half day tours run at 9am and 1pm.

Do You Still Go Out On A Session In Rain, Wind Etc?

We do our best to get out adventuring rain or shine! However, if the weather causes an activity to be unsafe, we will cancel by 7 am on the morning of your activity, and offer you the choice to reschedule or receive a refund.
