Introduction To Stand Up Paddleboarding Reviews

We booked a 2 hour introduction to stand up paddleboarding (SUP) session with Jenny, and it was brilliant! The instructions to the meeting point were really clear and easy. Our instructor Jen was great, knowledgeable, patient as well as clear and concise with her instructions. Had lots of fun, would recommend booking with Fore if you’re looking for a few hours of water adventure!

“My Partner and I did the 2 hour SUP this weekend with Ollie. We had such an amazing experience. The SUP was great fun and we can’t thank Ollie enough for his patience and experience. The Sun was shining and we even got to see a seal. It was such a great day and highly recommend.”

A great SUP lesson with Ollie. All members of the family had fun. Tuition was great and Ollie showed patience and gave lots of encouragement.

Ben B

“Booked a SUP lesson to see if I would enjoy it prior to splashing out on my own SUP. Andy was a great teacher, not only did he tell me a lot about SUPs and what to look for when I buy one, but he taught me loads of techniques that have given me confidence that I will not start with lots of bad habits.”

Itinerary

  • All of our Introduction to stand up paddleboarding sessions run from our Hutquarters on Middle beach in Studland
  • Please arrive at our base in the car park 10 minutes before your adventure begins to ensure a savvy start as we, unfortunately, can’t hold the session if you are late.
  • You will need to be ready in your swimwear for a swift change into wetsuits.
  • After a quick change, you will make your way down to our beach hut down on the beach.
  • After a short safety briefing, you will take to the water with our instructor who will show you how to stand up paddleboard in calm shallow water near the beach. We may be able to journey to nearby South Beach (weather depending) but wherever we are you’ll be in beautiful surroundings! We always hug the coastline and stay in sheltered water- perfect for beginners.
  • This trip is on composite stand up paddle boards and is suitable for complete novices or more experienced paddleboarders.
  • If you are competent on a SUP and want a longer trip we have a half day intermediate Old Harry Rocks tour priced at £60pp.

What To Bring

  • You will need to bring footwear (old trainers or aqua shoes do just the job).
  • You will need to wear your swimming cossie or shorts underneath our wetsuits. Make sure you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a change of clothes, a towel, and a water bottle to stay hydrated.
  • In winter you will need to wear a base layer under our wetsuit (manmade fabric as cotton will retain water). Hats and gloves are a good idea too, as well as a snug fleece and some warm socks for afterward!

Minimum Age

  • £4pp (minimum age allowed is 12 years).
  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bespoke Options

  • The private tours are £320 for the 2-hour tour for groups of up to 8. If your group is larger than 8 we can still accommodate you.
  • We can work with groups of up to 16. For larger groups, we run multiple groups of up to 8 at the same time to make up a larger group size. You will still need to book an entire group of up to 8 even if your group size is smaller than this.
  • The min age is 10+ on private 2-hour sup tours or 14+ on half days.
  • To book a bespoke trip select the book ‘entire activity’ button and this session will be booked privately for your group. Please contact us directly if there are not enough sessions available to book your entire group and we can check if we have availability to add more.
