A Year…

As we set off on the next leg of our adventure (2015!)  we couldn’t help but cast back on all the mischief we got up to in our first year as fore/adventure… Consequently what a smile it brought us, so much so we couldn’t resist getting all nostalgic. First lets share some of the memories we made in 2014 with you, so here they are from top to (by no means) bottom;

A Year…June…

June marked the start of our summer as Fore/Adventure. Swiftly followed by camp bestival in July where we had a wildtime with project wildthing. Subsequently helping some lovely folk tick off a heap of #50things with the National trust. From stargazing to camping out in the wild and wild art to cooking on a campfire.

A Year…August

After was August brought us sunshine sunshine and MORE sunshine. And what better way for the smalls to spend those long hazy days than at our beach school. Letting them go feral for a few days, learning the ins and outs of our little patch of Dorset wild we call home.

… September…

Then as the days grew shorter and the sun was heading down. We tipped our hats to the summer in September. By celebrating all that our spot on the coast has to offer. With a shared table and a gathering of souls at our first ever foraged feast ….and what a feast we had!

… October…

Later October introduced us to the lovely folk of Ernest Journal who let our sea dog, Dan, show them the sights. And take them on an adventure of their very own by kayak. Setting lobster pots, fishing & identifying edible seaweeds as they went. Topping off a hard days exploring with cockles and lobster over the campfire.

… November and December

Then we wound down our year in November & December keeping our toes toastie. Subsequently warming our hearts around the campfire. Additionally sharing bushcraft skills, foraging and embarking on our own adventure to become forest school leaders. So we can keep sharing what we love about living life through adventure with our young family. And all the other families who happen upon us.
